So I am no longer a spray tan virgin! It was quite the experience and I still haven't decided if I like it or not. They say the color will keep coming for the next couple days, but A LOT of color rinsed off in the shower this morning. I tried to keep going through the "rules" in my head as I didn't use my normal loofah and just basically rinsed off and used soap in my pits, feet and other places you need to clean regularly! They say the "excess color" will rinse off, but it seemed like more. Maybe the shower was too hot...I did read something about that...Maybe it's just that I'm addicted to color right away and did NOT want to see any go away...or I just want to keep my $$$'s worth!
I am a little orange/dirty looking on my hands and knees, but a little extra scrubbing will take care of that, no problem. I will be posting pictures from this weekend, so YOU can be the judge of a spray tan!

BAD JULIE
So, I was REALLY good at working out nearly every night, but after 2 months, Jillian and I just grew apart and I hate to say it...SHE GOT BORING! I need to find something else to keep my attention because I was doing soooo well. My drive to workout is also down and I can't wait to go outside and take walks again! I am happy to say that I can comfortably fit in all my size 10 work clothes, so I don't feel like I have to wear the same outfits all the time. My closet grew 10 fold just by losing about 5 pounds! Now I don't have to worry about buying new clothes for awhile because I really don't NEED them!
Any suggestions for a new workout (that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!) Let me know!

Overwhelming
Things are a bit overwhelming in my life right now as the daily stressors of "am I going to get a job today" and will we have enough money to even BUY a house? Now add 2 online classes ( which I've never done before) and the daily tantrums of a 19-month-old boy...WHEW~
They will be a little less hectic after this weekend(Jan 30)...Lindsey and Jarod's wedding!!! Super DUPER excited about this and cannot wait for this momentous occasion to happen, but it WILL make my life a little easier. Then it will be on to keeping the house in tip top shape so SOMEONE will want to buy it! And the ever fun house hunting. We probably should already be doing this, but like I said, it's been CRAZY.
I know most of you have been thinking, I have broken my "resolution" to blog 2 times a week and it's not even February!!! OH WELL~! Life goes on and as I get acquainted with my new schedule (and by the way, jobs have been coming lately....and it's about 1 month until I start my long-term job for the rest of the year, so that will be one stressor down!) it will be even easier to do.

Date Night
Jared and I got to have a date night tonight. We originally thought to use our gift card to Red Lobster, but about 2 minutes after discussing that our friends Dan and Courtney called and wanted to know what we were up to. We all decided to go out to eat together and the grandparents were going to watch the kids!
Turns out Reef got to eat at Red Lobster anyway, because it was cousin Taylor's birthday and the rest of the family was going to eat there!
WE had a nice meal at LaPaz, but felt like we were rushed out of there b/c there were many more waiting to eat! Then we had some yummy drinks at a bar (the name just flew out of my head and I can't catch it!) and were home by 10. Sometimes those nights are the best....you enjoy yourself and are still in bed by 11~
Reef was a good boy for grammy and grampy despite having one of the worst diaper rashes he had ever had! Poor baby. It was pretty much cleared up by the next morning...whoo who!

New Years BLOG resolution

If you can read (and I'm sure most of you can, otherwise, I guess you're just here for pictures!) then you may have noticed that I haven't blogged the WHOLE ENTIRE MONTH OF DECEMBER!!!
Not that I've really been all that busy...but I have started a workout, I may have mentioned it=Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and that cuts into my blogging time. Also, A TON of our favorite shows have been new and I just can't seem to keep caught up with them. ALSO...the winter time just makes me want to curl up in bed with a good book (or DVR'd show) and RELAX! Enough slacking! I vow to update the blog AT LEAST 2 times a week. I am purposely starting off small because this semester is going to be a BUSY, BUSY one:
~I am taking 6 hours of graduate classes online through UNL (to keep my teaching certificate current)
~I am going to be doing a long-term maternity leave teaching 1st grade at McPhee Elementary from March 5th-ish to the end of the year
~We are debating on putting our house on the market and looking for houses to get the stellar $6500 stimulus (2nd time homeowner) from OBAMA
~I have to keep the house cleaner if the house is on the market...HELP!
~I'm going to be joining a book club (hopefully) and enjoying time with other women who enjoy reading as much as I!
And the regular stuff...laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, keeping up with an 18 month old...
Hope this clears up my slacking! and here are some pictures I got off my phone...some are newer and some are quite old!

Busy Month
If you haven't noticed, I've only posted one update this month and it was on the 1st~ it is now the last day of November and I am still not ready to update! :) I have been horrible at taking pictures this month...lazy really, so for those of you waiting for cute pictures of the little man...you'll have to wait a bit longer.
Here are some things that have been going on during the past 30 days...
I started Jillan Michaels 30 day shred (today will be day 7) and I ACTUALLY look forward to getting fit and doing the 30 min. video sometime during the day! I made sure to weigh myself and take measurements at the beginning so I can compare after the 30 days. I'm sure I will continue to do it after 30 days are up, but I just want to see what I can accomplish!
I experienced my first Black Friday shopping this year! It was exhilerating and CRAZY! I got up at 4 am (but really didn't sleep well after 2 because I was excited and nervous!) and Breanna picked me up at 4:15 to head to Wal Mart. I got in line for the TV we got for Christmas from The Rohrs' and I got the LAST ticket for that item! I couldn't believe it! After waiting about 40 min until 5am we were able to check out. Breanna was our runner for other things while we had to stay in line for our items (Our friends Michelle and Jason and a sister-in-law of theirs were also there with Breanna, her brother and I.) Then we waited for about 45 min in line to purchase the items! Next on to Menards, Target and Kohl's. A few Christmas presents for Reef and ourselves and I was done!
We went to a couple's shower for Jarod Brabec and Lindsey Olmsted and it was quite fun. Mom babysat while we went. She also has been helping us declutter our house in case we put our house on the market soon....
We are currently debating on whether or not to move right now. We go to the bank tonight to get Pre-approved for a loan and we have looked at about 12 houses so far and liked 1. Our fate will come down to tonights meeting...we will keep you posted!
Thanksgiving was a time for food, family and friends. We went to Jared's aunt and uncles house in Omaha to spend with Rick's side of the family and then that evening went to another aunt and uncles house in Lincoln to spend with Cyndi's side. Friday was Husker football, turkey frying day at the Landon's household and we got to spend time with friends and again, stuff ourselves! Saturday was relaxing and then we hung out at the Prochnow's with yet some more friends! A good 4 day weekend (I had a 6 day weekend!) for most!
I have been subbing a ton and hopefully will get the longterm that has been offered me for Early March-End of the Year. It is 1st grade at McPhee Elem. As most of you know, I enjoy working with 3-5 grades the most, but I'm always up for a challenge! Hopefully this will bring a full time post!
That's all for now!

Pumpkin Carving
I know you should carve your pumpkins BEFORE Halloween, but I just really wanted the seeds and then decided to make a memory.
Reef was "helping" me get the pumpkin seeds out so we could make some baked pumpkin seeds. I tried a "new" recipe this year and threw in some honey and sugar to make sweet/salty seeds and they turned out FABULOUS! Reef even enjoyed his first pumpkin seed snack.
The large pumpkin says REEF '09 and the smaller just has a face!
